Strategies for Building ELs’ Academic Language by SupportEd

In this six-week, twelve-hour asynchronous course, you will be able to
meet the following objectives:
- Describe the three levels of academic language.
- Implement research-based strategies for selecting and teaching
academic vocabulary to ELs in varied ways.
- Explore strategies for supporting ELs’ academic language development
at the word, sentence, and discourse levels.
- Develop strategies for collaborating with colleagues to support development of ELs’ academic language.
